Mean Green Wrap Up Play At Royal Oaks

DALLAS – The North Texas men's golf team wrapped up play the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate on Tuesday at Royal Oaks Country Club, finishing in eighth place at 7-over par after shooting 4-over on the final day.

The Mean Green were led on Tuesday by redshirt junior Kristof Ulenaers, who shot a 1-under 70 on the day to finish at even-par for the tournament in a tie for 19th place. Junior Viktor Forslund was UNT's top performer over the two-day event, as he finished tied for 13th at 2-under par for the tournament after an even-par 71 on Tuesday after tying his career-low round of 67 in Round 2 on Monday.

Sophomore Lenny Bergsson rounded out a trio of UNT golfers in the top 25 with a 1-over tournament to finish tied for 24th.

"The team is getting better every event," UNT head coach Brad Stracke said. "The guys are working hard and the results are starting to show. The more events we get under our belt, the better we will be at the end of the year. We are looking forward to finishing up the fall season next week in Hawaii."
 
The Mean Green will wrap up the fall schedule Nov. 1-3, at the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational in Hawaii. on Maui.
