Luke Walerius was hired as North Texas football's director of recruiting on January 31, 2018 and was promoted to the Football Chief of Staff ahead of the 2019 season.
Walerius previously served as a recruiting assistant for three seasons under head coach Mark Stoops at Kentucky, where worked in all aspects of recruiting, including talent evaluation. Additionally, he served as a graduate assistant under Stoops for two seasons (2016 and 2017).
The Alexandria, Kentucky, native also served three seasons as a student assistant in the Wildcats' recruiting office. He earned his bachelor's degree in community, leadership and development from the University of Kentucky.
