Dancer came to Denton in August 2019 after two years at Tennessee State as the director of operations for women's basketball where she handled all operational functions for the program.
Before TSU, Dancer served as a graduate assistant coach on the women's basketball staff at Mississippi Valley State where she coordinated travel, assisted with the budget, conducted video sessions and monitored study hall. She also helped with the development of All-SWAC First Team selection Ashley Beals.
Dancer worked with Lady Eagles Sports in Dallas for a year as the coordinator where she served as an advisor, organized travel and monitored the team. Dancer also spent time with the Summer Basketball Organization in Fort Worth as a DFW Elite Basketball Grassroots assistant coach.
Dancer was a member of the women's basketball team at Johnson C. Smith for two seasons before graduating from Southern Polytechnic State with a bachelor of science in business administration. She earned a master's degree in sports administration from Mississippi Valley State in August 2018.
