Brandon Irving joined the North Texas men's basketball team as a graduate assistant for the 2019-20 season. 

Prior to UNT, Irving worked in basketball operations for the for Dallas Mavericks' G League affiliate, Texas Legends, under head coach Bob MacKinnon from 2017-19. There he worked closely with NBA vets Zendon Hamilton & Eric Snow and the Legends had their winningest season in franchise history in 2017-18. While with the Legends, he assisted in scouting, team practices, games and player workouts for Brandon Ashley, Wade Baldwin, Kyle Collinsworth, Justin Dentmon, Keith Hornsby, Jalen Jones, Johnathan Motley, Donald Sloan, Jameel Warney, among others. Irving was also the Project Manager for the team where he handled logistics for front office & players while running Legends clinics & youth basketball camps.

Irving received his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas in Recreation, Event & Sport Management in May of 2017.

A native of Missouri City, TX, graduated from Fort Bend Elkins High School in 2013.
