Fast-track to COS!

As an Early Start science major, you will be fast-tracked into the College of Science (COS) Living Learning Community (LLC) program.  This LLC comprises highly motivated students who live together their first year in the newly-renovated, community-oriented Bruce Hall while pursuing degrees in the COS.  It provides an exceptional opportunity to continue living and taking classes alongside your Early Start peers. 

Program Benefits

  • Continue living and taking classes with your friends from Early Start
  • Automatic enrollment into continuing science coursework to keep you ahead of the game, courses scheduled at prime time and held right outside of your residence hall doors
  • Live steps away from the dining hall and science classroom buildings.  Close to places like the Union, various academic buildings, and the Recreation Center, Bruce Hall is one of the most centrally located residence halls on campus.
  • Participate as a mentor, helping those who did not participate in Early Start get adjusted to campus resources – this is a great opportunity to demonstrate leadership skills
  • Based on academic and leadership performance, opportunities may be available to join the College of Science Ambassador program and receive the corresponding scholarship!
