Truvy’s salon is THE place for ladies to have their hair done in Chinquapin, LA. Lifetime friendships are formed and strengthened as these witty women share life’s milestones, triumphs, and tragedies. Laughter, tears, and laughter through tears are all experienced in this beautiful story.

A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum – Book by Burt Shevelove, Larry Gelbart, Music and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, Based on the plays of Plautus, Originally Produced on Broadway by Harold S. Prince – (Mar. 27, 28, 29 & Apr. 2, 3, 4, 5, 2020)
A fast-paced, musical comedy takes situations from 2000-year-old stories, adds the energy of vaudeville, and the plot twists and mistaken identity of farce to create one hilarious show. The clever slave, Pseudolus, plots to earn his freedom by winning the hand of a lovely courtesan for his young master and ends up in quite a few tangled schemes in the process.

When a socialite and novelist, Charles Condomine, enlists an eccentric medium to conduct a séance to gather information for a new book, the ghost of his first wife is inadvertently summoned. Life becomes hilariously difficult for Charles as she continuously strives to disrupt his current marriage.

Beaujolais & More – (Nov. 21, 2019) – Denton’s very own celebration of the grape and the best party in town! Beaujolais Nouveaux wine is flown all over the world from France each year, and over 20 of Denton’s finest restaurants and caterers provide some of their most delectable delicacies to sample. Additional wine and craft beer tastings also available. Treat yourself to an evening of nibbling and sipping while supporting the Campus Theatre – at the Denton Civic Center.
A Tuna Christmas – by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears, and Ed Howard (Dec. 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15) –
The triumphant return of Buster Maloney and Justin Harmon as ALL the colorful characters in Tuna, TX. Yuletide festivities highlighted on local radio station OKKK include the annual lawn-display contest and a Christmas play in danger of having no electricity.

Lucky John – By David Harper & Andy Mullins – (May 29, 30, 31, 2020)
In this family friendly, mini-musical comedy a man returns home after 7 years to see his mother. His journey involves encounters with various obstacles and questionable characters.

“Lucky John” is a mini-musical comedy. It’s a loose adaptation of one of the more obscure Brothers Grimm short fables originally entitled “Hans in Luck”.

“Lucky John” is a story of a man who after working 7 years hard labor takes his pay (a lump of gold) and returns home to see his mother. On his journey home he encounters various obstacles and questionable characters. The play is almost G rated and very family friendly.
