I want to give a huge shout out to PD. I would consider myself a friend of department and have tons ...of respect for what y'all do even after some mixed interactions with police in general. It is finals week this week and I had I guess what "could" be categorised as a mental health snap. All the personnel involved from the dispatcher to the officers who interacted with me and ultimately gave me a ride to my car. I'm a full-time staff member at UNT and I just want to give a shout-out to the UNT Police Department... for the little things they do to keep this campus safe and awesome. I was at work yesterday and I got a call on my cell from the department. I didn't catch her name (she was very polite and pleasant), but she mentioned that an officer was patrolling the area and noticed my car's back tire was extremely low. The officer then offered to fill it up for me, which is amazing because it saved me having to change it in the parking lot and I could get home safely and put the spare on in my garage. Thanks UNTPD!
