The China Advisory Council serves as UNT’s internal advisory board on China engagement.
The Council is charged with making strategic recommendations to academic affairs and the university at-large in developing, refining and achieving UNT’s goals in China. Responsibilities include:
- Review and recommend partnership strategies with Chinese institutions
- Review and recommend funding requests from a pool of Provost-designated Venture Funds
- Advise the university on academic and academic support initiatives that optimize engagement with China related to teaching, research and service
- Provide feedback on the progress and success of China activities and programs at UNT
