The Factory: Circulation

Circulation

Summary

The Factory makerspace is a unique training based lab collection offered to currently enrolled UNT students, faculty and staff. As a makerspace we are a collaborative learning center for building ideas, however, we do not offer production services. Some machines/services/training may expose patron to possible dangers and therefore all users must go through a general safety and specific equipment training. A number of machines are available for in-space use only. Although many items in the makerspace collection are circulating, discoverable in the Library catalog and can be checked out, there are special loan periods, booking procedures, renewal rules and fine rates that apply. Every project request is subject to the Factory’s review/approval process.

Makerspace items can be costly and it is the responsibility of the patron to return items in the same or better condition than they were when checked out.
