Tech Tour #3: myUNT and More

Green octagon with Stop #3

This is your third stop on the Technology Tour! Here you will learn about UNT's portal to a central web location to access online services, such as registering for classes, paying tuition and more. MyUNT is your access to the business-related side of school. It is not the academic and learning access that you will use for classes through the learning management system called Canvas.

MyUNT

The portal to online services—and more—is called myUNT; it is the user's entryway to pay for tuition, meals, log in hours worked at an on-campus job or other business with the university.  It is the central web location where UNT students and employees access online services. It is designed to work with mobile devices with new features and improved functionality.

See the Quick Guide for information about how to navigate through the portal for your specific campus. Through myUNT, you may use Visual Schedule Builder to design your schedule based on options you select. With this helpful tool, it is easy to plan a schedule that works for you and quickly access Class Numbers for registration.

Login to myUNT:  my.unt.edu using your EUID and password. This is accessible from your desktop or mobile device.

Mobile Website for MyUNT

UNT Website for Smart Phones:  A mobile website for myUNT also is available for accessing UNT information and services from your smart phone: m.unt.edu. Available to download from iTunes or Google Play, for iPhone or android.

Eagle Alert

eagle alert wordmarkThe UNT Eagle Alert system notifies the UNT community with immediate emergency information. Students should update their phone number online through the MyUNT portal, my.unt.edu, by logging in with valid UNT credentials—your EUID and password. In the top of the right column, look for Eagle Alert, then click on “Update your information.”

The Eagle Alert system allows UNT administrators to contact campus community members quickly by phone about critical or emergency situations affecting the safety and wellbeing of people on and around the UNT campus. The system sends a message by recorded voice and text to the user's phone and an email to all active students, faculty and staff. The system must have the user's updated information and permission to send text messages for Eagle Alert. Note: Only phone numbers in the U.S. 50 states are supported.
