UNT Department of Political Science shared a post.
I am pleased to announce that Idean Salehyan has begun his tenure as the Peace Science Society’s executive director. Idean is Professor of Political Science at ...the University of North Texas and is the author of numerous works focusing on international and civil conflict, and international migration. Idean’s book, Rebels Without Borders: Transnational Insurgencies in World Politics, won the 2010 Distinguished Book Award, from the Ethnicity, Nationalism and Migration (ENMISA) section of the International Studies Association.
I am confident that Idean will meet with great success in leading the Society.
I would like to thank the members of the Peace Science Society for making leading our group the personally and professionally rewarding and fun experience it has been for me. I have had the pleasure of being continually reminded that we can rely upon one another for help and that we are – as I have said at virtually every Business Meeting in the last seventeen years – a “society.”
I wish the Society and Idean Salehyan the best.
