Digging Deeper: UNT Interfaith Student Group

How do YOU make meaning?

Sometimes it's really hard to talk about what we believe and why, but taking the time to share and learn about the different worldviews in our global society - and developing the skills to build relationships across those differences - is more important now than it ever has been. "Digging Deeper" is a weekly program from the Office of Spiritual Life where students can share their values, learn about the beliefs that shape the world around us, and cultivate vital leadership skills.

If you are interested in sharing and exploring the ways that we make meaning and determine deeply-held values, bring your story to the table. Every Tuesday from 5:30PM to 6:30PM in Curry Hall 211 week, students can learn about different religions by discussing relevant holiday and/or sacred celebrations throughout the year, develop the skills to engage hot-button issues with people who disagree, and more!

At Each Session:

Happy Holy Days

KNOWLEDGE: Learn about the holy days and sacred celebrations of the week and the traditions that hold them

Exercising Ethics

SKILLS:        Explore what you value and why while honing the skills you need to communicate and build relationships across differences

#Goals

ACTION:      Take what you've learned, share it with the group, and turn your experiences and values into a plan of action!

*NOTICE:  Digging Deeper will not take place on 10/8/19 and 10/15/19.
