Design

The three professional programs offered through the UNT College of Visual Arts and Design in the Design Department share a common mission that prepares students to not only meet, but to define and reinvent solutions for the fundamental challenges that impact their respective professions in an increasingly changing world. The curricula in each of these programs have been designed to help future designers develop the conceptual, aesthetic, analytical and technical skills necessary to achieve these objectives.

In addition to the university admission requirements, students wishing to major in any program in the College of Visual Arts and Design must meet minimum academic requirements to be classified as a pre-major. Please see CVAD pre-major requirements for more information.

The College of Visual Arts and Design is considered one of the best and most comprehensive visual arts schools in the nation. Our graphic design program is ranked first in the Southwest. See more rankings here.
