What is GIS?
A geographic information system (GIS) is a framework of computing hardware and software that allows users to store, manipulate, and visualize geographic data. At the most fundamental level, GIS presents data about our world in the form of a map.

10 AM - 3 PM | Vendor Tables and Student Posters | Roam the atrium visiting with regional agencies and companies to learn more about their use of GIS and how it affects you, and stroll through the UNT student map gallery |
11 AM - 11:50 AM | Lightning Talks Round 1 | Join us in Room 110 for lightning talks given by UNT faculty, staff, and outside agencies to learn more about a specific GIS application |
