Texas Fashion Collection

A unique repository documenting high fashion and style, the Texas Fashion Collection operates under the auspices of the College of Visual Arts and Design. The TFC is one of the most acclaimed educational resources at the University of North Texas, Denton, Texas. These artifacts of dress were collected by a variety of notable groups and individuals whose taste and connoisseurship continue to inspire students, researchers, and visitors.

Notable designers strongly represented in the Texas Fashion Collection include Cristobal Balenciaga, Geoffrey Beene, Coco Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, Christian Dior, Hubert de Givenchy, Hanae Mori, Mary McFadden, Yves Saint Laurent, and Arnold Scaasi.  With slightly more local or Texas significance, the collection also includes Todd Oldham, Victor Costa, and Michael Faircloth. This is an abbreviated list, however, as the TFC houses nearly 20,000 historic and designer garments and accessories spanning 250 years of fashion history.
