About this Event

Marisol tells the story of three women affected by immigration in Texas. The story of Marisol, a young college-age Mexican woman in North Texas, is inspired by the real-life stories of young people who uncover their family’s secret that they are, in fact, living in the United States without legal documents.

Marisol was directed by Dr. Eugene Martin, faculty member in the Department of Media Arts. Dr. Martin will introduce this screening, and pizza will be provided by the UNT Multicultural Center on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Fem Flicks Film Series is a joint effort of the UNT Women’s Studies Program, the UNT Multicultural Center and the UNT Media Library.
