Job Opportunities

Throughout the year we occasionally post a few student employee jobs on handshake (can be found through my.unt.edu) for the Department of Communication Studies. These are only open as our student assistants leave or graduate. Qualifications are as follows:

For the COMM Library you MUST be a COMM major and have gone through COMM 3010 - passing with a B or better. In this position you will be helping other 3010 (and other upper-level COMM majors) students with APA citation and research. We are looking for 2 employees, one of which needs to be Work Study. Each student employee will work 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8-5.

For the main office we are looking for 1-2 student employees. In this position you cannot be a COMM major. Most of the duties will involve clerical tasks (printing, copying, filing), answering the phone and in-person questions from faculty/staff/students, and running errands on campus. We are looking for a student on Work Study to work 10-15 hours per week, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8-5.
