Research in the Wilson group focuses on the development and understanding of computational chemistry methodology and the application of this methodology to examine interesting problems in a wide range of areas including materials science, transition metal chemistry, and environmental chemistry.
Dr. Wilson is Associate Professor of Chemistry. She joined UNT in 2000. She is the University's first winner of an NSF CAREER award, the agency's top honor for junior faculty. She was also awarded (2005) the International Journal of Quantum Chemistry Young Investigator Award. Dr. Wilson's research is currently funded by the National Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Energy, and Air Force Research Laboratory. She is a Co-PI on the $8.8M ISES project. Wilson formed the CASCaM center of excellence with Cundari in 2005 via a seed grant from the U.S. Department of Education; they currently serve as co-directors.
