My favorite place on campus is the Syndicate. It has a really nice vibe and it is the spot to grab food while kicking it with friends or studying. I also really appreciate the live entertainment and performances that come on stage throughout the week, including UNT’s own Grammy-nominated One O’Clock Lab Band!
A wise person once said “You get out what you put in”! This time of your life is designed for you to do and try whatever it is so that when you come out of school, you’re the best possible version of yourself. With that said – have a positive attitude and don’t be afraid to get uncomfortable and to make mistakes – you’ll thank yourself in the end for giving it your all.
As someone who plays and enjoy music, it is awesome knowing that Snarky Puppy, one of my favorite bands, as well as rapper Lecrae, whom I’m also a big fan of, came out of UNT.
I enjoy going over to visit “The Square”. Being downtown provides lots of great places to eat and hang out, or to hear some live music any time of day or night.
Being a large and diverse university, UNT has always had a strong reputation of having happy, driven, and successful students which was very attractive when it came to finding a home for graduate school. It also helps that as someone who has lived in the DFW Metroplex all my life, I’ve got my family, friends, and everything else that I could possibly need or want all around me!
I didn’t go to Kindergarten. Had I understood at the time that would mean giving up scheduled naptime for good, I probably would have decided to do it – but only for the naps.
