LAHAINA, Hawaii – The North Texas men's golf team wrapped up play and completed its fall schedule at the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic on Sunday, shooting an 11-under 273 on the final day – the fifth-best score of the day among the 20 teams.
Junior
Viktor Forslund led the way for the Mean Green, shooting a career-low score of 65 (6-under) to finish the tournament at 4-under par and tied for 36th. The second-lowest score of the day came from freshman
Hiroki Miya, who shot a 4-under 67 to wrap the tournament, as both Forslund and Miya carded eagles on the par-5 ninth hole.
"The guys played well today," UNT head coach
Brad Stracke said. "Hopefully this last round will be a springboard for great play this spring."
