Swim and Dive Back In Action on Saturday

DENTON – North Texas swimming and diving will be back in the pool Saturday when they head to Dallas for a double-dual with SMU and LSU.

"We've spent most of the last month racing ourselves," head coach Brittany Roth said. "I'm just excited to get the girls off the blocks and diving while competing against other teams."

North Texas swimming has been out of actual competition since downing Arkansas-Little Rock in a dual on September 28, the Mean Green beat the Trojans 213-84 in Denton. North Texas swimming held its annual Green vs. White Alumni Meet on October 12 while the divers competed in the Houston Diving Invitational, taking fourth place as a team.

The Mean Green will look to bounce back against SMU after falling 198-101 during a dual in 2018. LSU and North Texas will meet in the pool for the first time in program history.

"It's just about getting these girls back into racing, which is what they love to do," Roth said. "Going fast and doing it for the team as opposed to just going for times."

Action will get underway at 1 p.m. from the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center and Barr-McMillion Natatorium on the campus of SMU.
