The Department of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology in the College of Health and Public Service is home to students who are dedicated to addressing the needs of our communities. The Department offers several different scholarships to current students:

• Speech-Language Pathology Graduate Student Scholarship
  

  Open to graduate students enrolled full time in the Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program in the College of Health and Public Service, with a 3.0 GPA or above.

  Typical scholarship awards range from $250-$1000. The number of competitive awards given each year is dependent on the number of applicants and funding available.

• Speech and Hearing Sciences Scholarship
  

  Open to graduate students in the College of Health and Public Service, with a 3.4 GPA or above who have been admitted to a graduate degree program in the Department of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology.

  Typical scholarship awards range from $500-$1,000. The number of competitive awards given each year is dependent on the number of applicants and funding available.

• Pat A. Summers Leadership Award
  

  Established to provide travel support to attend scholarly conferences and present posters or give presentations, this scholarship is open to graduate students enrolled full-time in Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology programs within the College of Health and Public Service, with a 3.0 GPA or above.

  Typical scholarship awards range from $500-$1,000. The number of awards given each year is dependent on the number of applicants, the cost of the trip, and funding available.

• Dr. Sandra L. Terrell Scholarship
  

  Open to graduate student’s enrolled full time in the College of Health and Public Service, who are interested in pursuing a graduate degree within the Department of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology with a 3.0 GPA or above.

  Typical scholarship awards range from $250-$1,000. The number of competitive awards given each year is dependent on the number of applicants and funding available.

• Brenda L. Petersen Scholarship
  

  Open to undergraduate students enrolled full time in the College of Health and Public Service, who are interested in pursuing a degree in Audiology within the Department of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology, with a 3.0 GPA or above.

  Typical scholarship awards range from $250-$1,000. The number of competitive awards given each year is dependent on the number of applicants and funding available.

• Joanne Moore Fund for Children
  
  The UNT Speech & Hearing Center, through its mission of clinical teaching, serves not only the UNT campus community but also the general public. The Joanne Moore Fund for Children was created to financially assist families whose children could not otherwise receive services at UNT Speech & Hearing Center.
• ASLP Department Development Fund
  
  A way to give without designating a specific recipient. The ASLP Development Fund provides funds for a wide variety of projects, including but not limited to:research seed funding, purchase of cutting-edge clinical equipment, support for fundraising activities and alumni gatherings, or bringing nationally- and internationally-known researchers to speak on the UNT campus.
