Wednesday, November 13, 2019 - 11:00am to 1:50pm

GIS Day celebrates the powerful impacts that geographic information system (GIS) technology has on our lives. UNT will be joining hundreds of organizations across the world in hosting events to showcase GIS technology.

The UNT departments of Geography, Facilities, and the Advanced Environmental Research Institute are hosting an event that brings together UNT departments and outside agencies to connect with students and showcase GIS applications, a wonderful opportunity for a diverse group of GIS users to come together and share their knowledge and experience.

  • Tabling: Departments and vendors will have tables set up throughout the day, opening a dialogue with folks about their work in GIS.
  • Lightning Talks: Two 50-minute rounds will take place, at 11 a.m. and then at 1 p.m., in room 110. Presenters will have less than 10 minutes to share their topic to the crowd.
