View of Appointment Manager portal pageApril 17, 2017 – Students will be able to make online appointments with their academic advisors soon. UNT will be rolling out Appointment Manager, a web-based software application designed to provide a quick and easy way for students to manage various appointments in one place. Appointment Manager allows users to schedule appointments at their own convenience. Students can view available appointments, select the desired appointment time, and complete the entire process without having to make a phone call or drop by an office to inquire about what’s available. When an appointment is scheduled through Appointment Manager, an email confirmation will be sent automatically along with the appointment details. Students will receive email or text reminders about their upcoming appointments. Cancellations and rescheduling are equally easy to manage through the online scheduling portal.

The rollout of the campuswide online appointment scheduling system signals UNT’s continued commitment to student success by developing and implementing services that make it easy for students to connect to various campus resources, such as academic advising and other student services areas. With the upcoming launch of Appointment Manager, students will find the process of connecting with the right resources easier than before since they are empowered to schedule meetings and appointments on their own. In addition, Appointment Manager comes with data analytics that will help the campus to gather additional data on student success.

Representatives from various departments evaluated several appointment scheduling systems before selecting Appointment Manager. The initial rollout will include two pilot departments with plans to expand the offering to other areas on campus such as recruitment and student services.

Deployment to the full campus is expected by the 2017 fall semester.
