Brandi Renton, Associate Vice President for Administrative Services

Brandi Renton photoBrandi oversees a team that proactively addresses and responds to organization behavior by providing division-wide assessments, and facilitates improved planning, training and communication. The Risk Management Services and Student Financial Services departments within the Division of Finance and Administration also report to her. Prior to her current position, Brandi was the UNT Human Resources Campus Director. Previously, she worked in human resources for United Methodist Retirement Communities, the Lear Corporation and Collins & Aikman. Brandi received a BS in Industrial Health and Safety from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan; and an MBA from Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan.

Ashley Reyes, Business Operations Trainer

As a Business Operations Trainer, Ashley supports employee training through the creation and facilitation of live training sessions as well as the development and distribution of eLearning courses. Prior to joining UNT, Ashley worked for a Fortune 100 Financial Services company where she focused on building and cultivating business relationships. She earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology at the prestigious University of California, Riverside.

Daniela Valdez, Senior Business Process Analyst

Daniela helps provide a resource to all levels of management and operating entities to ensure organizational effectiveness. Prior to joining UNT, Daniela worked at McDonald’s Corporation as a Consultant and most recently at NTT Data Services as a Senior Consultant in Dallas, Texas. After graduating from Vassar College with a bachelor’s degree in Art History, Daniela obtained a MBA from Saint Xavier University in Chicago.

Jerri Robertson, Director of Business Operations Training

Jerri Robertson photoJerri drives training initiatives campus-wide and supports university initiatives by developing, coaching, and providing leadership training via workshops, eLearning, and Instructional Design. Prior to joining UNT, Jerri founded and operated a professional development firm based in Dallas and held key positions in several Fortune 500 companies such as IBM, Pitney Bowes and American Airlines. She is a published author who graduated from Texas A&M University Commerce, with a Business degree and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Learning Technologies. Jerri holds multiple certifications including Everything DiSC, Meyer-Briggs and Franklin Covey.

Margarita Venegas, Senior Communications Strategist

Margarita supports the goals of the Administrative Services team and the Division of Finance and Administration with printed and electronic materials about the activities and accomplishments of the people and departments in these areas. Previously, Margarita worked with UNT as the News Manager for the University Relations, Communication and Marketing division. Her background is in journalism and she worked for newspapers in Georgia, North Carolina, New Jersey and Texas. She is a graduate of the University of North Texas with a bachelor’s degree in news journalism.

Nadia Guevara, Youth Protection Program Director

Nadia Guevara, business process analystNadia leads the University’s program on the protection of minors. She oversees the policy implementation and compliance across all colleges and divisions of the University. She also serves as point-of-contact for establishing and maintaining best practices to cultivate safe and healthy environments for the protection of minor participants in camps, programs, and activities. Previously, she led business operations teams in the assessment of internal processes to identify improvement opportunities and streamline processes. Nadia has experience managing small and large-scale process improvement projects in both non-profit and for-profit settings. She has a bachelor’s degree from Langston University and master’s degree from Southern Nazarene University.

Stephanie McDonald, Director of Policy and Administrative Services

Stephanie McDonald photoStephanie helps with the administration and management of the University’s policy program. Previously, Stephanie worked as an Associate Commissioner of Institutional Services for the Southland Conference, a Division I FCS athletic conference, located in Frisco, Texas. After graduating from Texas Woman’s University with a degree in Business Administration, Stephanie went on to obtain her Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas School of Law.
