Seven days a week, KNTU.com / FM 88.1 The One presents the longest-running national radio science feature in the country: StarDate.
Since debuting in 1978, some 10,000 episodes have been broadcast. In addition to KNTU, StarDate airs on more than 300 stations nationwide.
Longtime host Sandy Wood left the show in July 2019 (see below for her goodbye) and Billy Henry has taken over to keep you in the know for what to look for in the night sky, and with explanations of the science, history and skylore behind these objects. StarDate also keeps you up to date on the latest research findings and space missions. And it offers tidbits on astronomy in the arts and popular culture, providing ways for people with diverse interests to keep up with the universe.

- 11:57 a.m.
- 4:57 p.m.
- 7:57 p.m.
StarDate is a production of The University of Texas McDonald Observatory, which also produces the monthly Spanish-language Universo radio program and Universo Online website and the bi-monthly StarDate magazine.
