Abstract
Scope and Contents of the Materials
Both the 1962 and 1988 time capsules were unearthed on April 16th, 2015 in celebration of the UNT’s 55th annual University Day. On May 10th, 1961, University Day was established to commemorate the designation of North Texas State College as a university. The 1962 time capsule was inspired by a similar capsule United Students of North Texas members viewed at the Texas State Fair. Contained within the capsule are numerous issues of Campus Chat, copies of university publications, audio recordings from campus events, and other objects.Collection Historical Note
