Concert Orchestra

Comprised of approximately 75 musicians drawn from highly selected students attending the College of Music. Under the direction of Dr. Clay Couturiaux, the orchestra offers its members the opportunity to develop and expand the highest standards of technical and musical playing.

About Orchestra at UNT

The UNT Orchestral Studies program involves over 175 undergraduate and graduate students and offers performance opportunities for majors and non-majors. With approximately 80% of its members receiving a scholarship, the UNT Symphony Orchestra and UNT Concert Orchestra consist of students from 26 states and 18 countries. Ensemble placement is by audition only.

The expansive Margot and Bill Winspear Performance Hall has been recognized as one of the finest concert halls in the world. The UNT College of Music began live streaming ensemble performances in 2009 for parents, potential students, and distant colleagues while showing the world-renowned music programs at UNT.

Recordings are available to UNT students and faculty for educational use only. Some concerts are available on youtube.
