Events and Facilities

The UNT College of Music presents more concerts than any other organization in Texas with more than 1,100 events annually. Our venues host performances by approximately 70 student ensembles, as well as internationally recognized faculty, alumni, and guest artists.


The Music Building houses the Paul Voertman Concert Hall, Recital Hall, Stan Kenton Hall, Merrill Ellis Intermedia Theater, and Organ Recital Hall. The Murchison Performing Arts Center houses the Margot and Bill Winspear Performance Hall and Lyric Theater. Performances also take place in the UNT Main Auditorium which houses two organs - a III/58 1949 Moller, Op. 7676 and 1985 Bedient IV/41 French Classical Organ.
