Graduate Programs

M.S. in Geography

We offer a professional program and a research program, which apply geographic concepts and techniques to significant societal and environmental challenges. Students work with their major professor to construct a degree plan emphasizing a particular theme (application matterials can be found here).

Other themes include cultural ecology, ecosystem geography, and energy geography.

Ph.D. in Information Science

We have a Geospatial Information Science Concentration in the Information Science Ph.D. Program coordinated by the Department of Information Science (see below).
