Purchasing Process for Online Auction

Payment Terms

Payment must be made in full at Lone Star Auctioneers' Fort Worth office absolutely no later than 5:00 pm CST, 5 days after the sale closes by Bank issued Cashier's Check or Postal Money Order made payable to Lone Star Auctioneers, Inc. Cash payments, with the exact change, can be made at the Fort Worth office Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 5:00 pm. The buyer must bring a printed copy of the invoice and their Driver's License if dropping off payment. Mail or deliver payment to: Lone Star Auctioneers, Inc., 4629 Mark IV Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76106-2295. (Please do not send cash in the mail).

Sales Tax

Texas State Sales tax of 8.25% will be collected from all taxable buyers taking possession of untitled vehicles and equipment in the State of Texas.

Sales Guidelines

Sale items come with no warranty, or guarantee, either expressed or implied UNT will not assume any responsibility for any unforeseen damage, particularly on items sold offsite or outside. All sales are final; there is no return policy. Public viewing hours Tuesdays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

UNT cannot allow testing of electric items or test driving or starting of vehicles due to liability issues. Titles for vehicles purchased by cash or money order will be processed and released three (3) business days after sale.

Removal

The UNT Surplus Warehouse is located at 925 Precision Drive in Denton, TX. Purchased items can be removed on Tuesdays 9:00am to 1:00 pm or by appointment only. All items must be removed within 5 business days of close of auction. If items are not removed by 2:00 pm of the 5th business day the buyer forfeits monies paid and the property reverts to University of North Texas with no recourse.
