University Stationery

University stationery is the most widely distributed element of institutional communication. Stationery includes all letterhead, envelopes, business cards and official forms and is available from UNT Printing Services.

Letterhead

All colleges, schools, departments, divisions, institutes, offices, centers, units and subunits must use the standard letterhead design. The letterhead template is designed to offer flexibility while maintaining consistency. The letterhead can be ordered through Printing Services.

When ordering online, you need to provide the following information:

  • Non-academic division, school or college
  • Office, center, department, unit
  • 1155 Union Circle # (your box number)
  • +4 ZIP code
  • Phone number with area code
  • Fax number with area code
  • University web address
  • Departmental e-mail address (option)

In keeping with the university's commitment to support the Americans With Disabilities Act, TTY (Telephone Teletype) numbers will automatically be included on all letterheads to assist individuals with hearing impairments. This is a standard field within the template.

The official letterhead is printed on 24# white, rag bond — 8 1/2 by 11 inches.

There are now three options for the letterhead (see examples at end of section). The letterhead also offers a space at either side at the bottom for a university co-brand logo. The co-brand logo is to be placed only at the bottom and only at a certain height and is only available with an I.D.O. through Printing Services. The university co-brand letterhead is not available online and has to be approved by URCM's Integrated Branding unit. URCM may also exempt special letterhead for fund-raising events.

Business cards

All colleges, schools, departments, divisions, institutes, offices, centers, units and subunits must use the standard business card design. The business card templates are designed to offer flexibility while maintaining consistency. Business cards are available in two styles and formats. The business cards can be ordered with an I.D.O. through Printing Services.

When ordering online, you need to provide the following information:

  • Name
  • Title (2 lines available)
  • Non-academic division, school or college
  • Office, center, department, unit
  • 1155 Union Circle # (your box number)
  • +4 ZIP code
  • Phone number with area code
  • Fax number with area code
  • Cell phone number options (cell phone number must have written approval from dean or head of non-academic division)
  • University web address
  • University e-mail address

The type font and point size may not change unless deemed necessary by Printing Services to maintain line consistency. If foreign language cards and multiple addresses are needed, formats for double-sided printing are available. Colleges, schools, departments, divisions, institutes, offices, centers, units and subunits are allowed to have their logos and taglines on the backside of the business cards. Business cards that require more information than the template allows can be ordered through Printing Services.

In keeping with the university's commitment to support the Americans With Disabilities Act, Printing Services will automatically include the TTY numbers on all business cards to assist individuals with hearing impairments. The TTY phone number can be removed only if that line is needed for additional information or phone numbers.

Envelopes

All colleges, schools, departments, divisions, institutes, offices, centers, units and subunits must use the standard envelope design. Because of space constraints and postal specifications, envelopes offer less flexibility than letterhead and business cards. The envelopes can be ordered through Printing Services.

When ordering online, you need to provide the following information:

  • Account number (optional)
  • Non-academic division, school or college
  • Office, center, department, unit
  • 1155 Union Circle # (your box number)
  • +4 ZIP code

Memorandum and fax formats

The sheets should not contain other graphics. The university lettermark and wordmark combination should be included somewhere on the page.
