The Division of Student Affairs invites the campus to a retirement reception honoring Jan Hillman, executive director, planning and assessment for Student Affairs, from 4 to 6 p.m. Nov. 19 in the UNT Alumni Center.

Hillman joined UNT in 1987 and has been panhellenic advisor, assistant dean of students and director of student activities center. She has been president of the Texas Association of College and University Student Personnel Administrators and active in the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators and Society for College and University Planners.

Hillman said she will be involved with the Association for the Study of Transfer Students, which is headquartered at UNT, and plans to travel.

She received a bachelor's degree from University of Louisiana-Monroe, and master's and doctoral degrees in counseling and higher education administration from UNT.
