The Critical Incident Response Team is composed of UNT Police Officers who receive specialized tactical training to prepare them for crucial, high-risk events. These events could include high-risk warrant service, barricaded subjects, covert drug operations and dignitary protection. The selection process to become a team member is very competitive and physically challenging.  Only those applicants that are disciplined, highly motivated, and in good physical condition will be chosen for the team.  Team members must maintain their skills and physical condition in order to remain on the team.
