Information Technology Services (ITS) advances the goals of faculty, staff, and students by providing a computing environment that facilitates research, teaching, and learning. In addition to reacting promptly to computing challenges, it takes pro-active measures to anticipate and prevent potential difficulties. ITS uses effective communication and a positive attitude to meet customers' needs for computer technology.

Overview

An organization chart is available, but the following list should help you find the correct area faster.

  • Student Computing Services is responsible for facilitating curricular activies with almost a thousand computers in 14 general access, discipline-specific, and instructional computer labs as well as kiosk systems.
  • Employee Computing Services works directly with faculty, staff, and student employees (via helpdesk staff) to help resolve problems and fulfill instruction, research, public-outreach, and administrative needs.  This group assesses, deploys, maintains, and sunsets more than 1,600 Windows, MacOS, and Linux desktop computer systems  for faculty, staff, and student employees (including Teaching Assistants, TeachingFfellows, Research Assistants, etc.).  It also provides a variety of additional web development and programming services.
  • The Infrastructure Services Team leverages "back-office" systems and projects to the benefit of  Student Services and Employee Services personnel and, therefore, our faculty, staff, and students.  The Team maintains a large number of Windows, MacOS, and Linux servers, services, and storage; server and desktop virtual infrastructure; network management; and related items.
