CLEAR Recognizes COI

successThe Center for Learning Enhancement, Assessment, and Redesign (CLEAR) recognizes the Department of Library and Information Sciences and the Department of Learning Technologies for being leaders in the field when it comes to distance learning.  LIS now offers web institutes all over the country, stretching from Los Angeles to Virginia, while LT's Bachelor's of Arts and Applied Sciences (BAAS) allows 42 credit hours of professional development courses to be taken online.

studentsThe UNT Department of Library and Information Sciences receives funds to train new librarians through distance education program in Pacific islands. LEAP: Library Education for the U.S.- Affiliated Pacific, will provide full scholarships for 23 residents of the Pacific islands to enroll in the online MS degree program in library and information sciences.
