Distinguished Lecture Series - Former President George W. Bush

Former President George W. Bush will speak at the University of North Texas on Nov. 17 as part of the university's Distinguished Lecture Series.

The Distinguished Lecture Series is intended to introduce the University community to the excellence of world-class speakers whose messages will enhance student learning outside the classroom. Bush was the 46th Governor of Texas, serving from 1995 to 2000, and the 43rd president of the United States, serving from 2001 to 2009. His memoir Decision Points is slated for release on Nov. 9.

Tickets will be available at the union information desk located on the third level of the University Union, which is located at 1155 Union Circle in Denton. The information desk is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets also can be reserved by calling 940-565-3805.

Students can receive one ticket for free with their UNT ID card. Students can also purchase additional tickets for $15. UNT faculty, staff and members of the UNT Alumni Association can purchase tickets for $15, and members of the general public can purchase tickets for $25. There also will be tickets for 300 floor seats available for $30. An additional 300 floor seats will be open to student ticket holders on a first come, first serve basis. Each purchaser is limited to four tickets.
