Fashion on Main
Description: Fashion on Main is the current exhibition facility of the Texas Fashion Collection and is dedicated to the exhibition and interpretation of fashion history and current cultural topics. Established in the fall of 2006, Fashion on Main is engaged in educational and scholarly activities in conjunction with each exhibition.
The Texas Fashion Collection is operated as a non-profit enterprise by the University of North Texas through the College of Visual Arts and Design (CVAD) and housed on the UNT campus in Denton. Since 1972, UNT and CVAD have preserved and expanded the collection, which now includes more than 15,000 historic fashions and accessories. Fashion on Main is the first stage of the planned UNT Design Research Center at the Universities Center at Dallas, which will provide greatly expanded educational and cultural resources for the people of North Texas and the burgeoning design and business communities of Dallas and Fort Worth.

Transportation: DART buses stop outside the front door of UCD at 1901 Main Street. The St. Paul light rail station is 2 1/2 blocks north of UCD on Harwood St. adjacent to the Adam’s Mark Hotel.
Parking: The Elm Street Garage is located at 2000 Elm Street, at the corner of Harwood and Main Street. The machine at the entrance of the garage will dispense a yellow ticket. If you bring the ticket to the lobby, we will validate the ticket for a fixed rate of $6.00. Without the negotiated UCD rates, parking at the Elm Street Garage is $2.00 every 20 minutes, with a $10.00 daily max. You may reach the Elm Street Garage Monday through Friday at 214-747-3062.
