Currently attending a Dallas County community college?

If you transfer from a Dallas County community college before earning your associate’s degree, the Reverse Transfer Credit Agreement allows the hours earned at UNT to apply toward your associate’s degree. UNT will send your transcripts to the community college once you have completed the required courses and have at least 60 total credit hours. Already have an Associate of Applied Science degree or other training?

UNT features two interdisciplinary Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences programs that combine vocational, technical or applied specialized course work with general education courses. Most courses taken to earn an A.A.S. degree or as part of military or vocational training can apply toward the B.A.A.S. degree. Alumni of the program have careers in business, education, industry and public service, among others.

SAT or ACT scores must be submitted. The writing section of the SAT or ACT is not a requirement for admission to UNT, but is highly recommended. Score required for admission is based on position in high school graduating class:

Next 15%: Minimum 950 SAT (combined critical reading + math) or 20 ACT
2nd 25%: Minimum 1050 SAT (combined critical reading + math) or 23 ACT
3rd 25%: Minimum 1180 SAT (combined critical reading + math) or 26 ACT

Scholarship and financial aid information

Scholarship applications: The UNT Texas Transfer and Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships are offered to eligible students on a first-come, first-served basis until funding is spent. No application is necessary. For the Honors Transfer Scholarships, complete the General Academic Scholarship application by March 1. Admission to UNT is required for all scholarship consideration.


Financial aid applications: To receive first consideration for awards, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid online by March 31 for the fall term; Aug. 15 for the spring term; Feb. 15 for the summer term.
