The General Access Computer Lab at Discovery Park

Welcome to the College of Information General Access Computer Lab at Discovery Park. It's a lot to remember, so just think of us as The Lab at Discovery Park. We used to be The Graduate Lab in the Information Sciences Building. We moved to Discovery Park and found a lot more room to grow.  We are part of the University of North Texas General Access Computer Lab System.

Our new name is not the only change. In our old location (ISB 205C), we served the graduate student popuplation of UNT, now we serve all of UNT's students, graduate and undergraduate alike. So, if you are a graduate student, and you miss the quite work spaces we provided, you will love our new lab. It has more workstations, more space to work, more printers, and a happy staff to help you complete that Thesis, or Dissertation. If you are an undergraduate student, come visit our lab, and see what you’ve been missing.

To find our new location, come to Discovery Park, and go to the 2nd floor.  Once on the 2nd floor, locate the central concourse (that's the big open walkway that divides the other two long concourses).  On the central concourse, go towards the end that has the freight elevators.  At that corner, look left.  That's us behind the big glass windows.  The actual location is Discovery Park, B205.

Our lab features software that most students will need.  For example, we have Microsoft Office 2007, Adobe Creative Suite 4 Web Premium Edition, SPSS, MatLab, Visual Studio 2008, 3 different web browsers and whole lot more.  The Lab features several high-speed laser and photo-quality color laser printers.

Any students with a valid UNT ID card may use this lab. The lab operates on a first come, first serve basis. No reservations will be made for single users.

We’re one of the best kept secrets at the university. So, come on out to Discovery Park, stop in and see what we are all about.
