Dutch Fayard joined the faculty in the Department of Accounting at the University of North Texas in fall 2008 as an Assistant Professor. In August 2008, he received his Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of South Carolina, where he also obtained an International M.B.A., Chinese Language Track. His B.S. degree in Ceramic Engineering was received from Clemson University. In addition to his varied educational background, Dutch brings five years of field experience with large chemical and petroleum customers to the classroom. His research interests are in the area of management control systems and inter-organizational cost management.
Non-Academic Interests
Dutch is married to Heather, who is a part-time occupational therapist so that she can spend more time at home with their daughter, Riley (age 3), and their infant son, Walker. Dutch’s interests outside the classroom include all water and snow sports, ultimate Frisbee, and traveling.
