Profile

Cameron Cockrell joined the faculty in the Department of Accounting at UNT in fall 2008 as an Assistant Professor. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky in May 2008, and also has a M.Acc. and B.S.B. in accounting from Miami University (OH). In addition to his public accounting experience with the Boston office of Deloitte and Touche, Cam brings seven years of university teaching experience to UNT, where he will be teaching auditing and accounting information systems courses. He is a Certified Public Accountant and member of both the Institute of Internal Auditors and Institute of Management Accountants. Cam’s research interests include knowledge management, information systems, and audit.

Non-Academic Interests

His wife, Caroline, currently works remotely as a transportation analyst for the Tempur-Pedic company. They plan to start a family soon, have two cats, Fizzy and Boomer, and enjoy travelling and other outdoor activities.
