How do I find a tutor?
To locate a tutor, simply visit the Learning Center website and click on Volunteer Tutors, then click "I
Need A Tutor." Select the class you are in and a list of tutors will appear on the screen. We recommend
that you send an email to all tutors listed. Please include the class that you need help with and your
                 availability.

How do I find my SI/ST sessions?
Your SI/ST should hand out a schedule within the first few weeks of class, but you can always locate a
                 complete session schedule online at
www.unt.edu/lc . Click on Supplemental Instruction or Supplemental
Tutoring and follow the links to find the master schedule. Simply look for your SI/ST's name or the class
you are in. You can also search our database to find your session schedule.

How do I sign up for a Speed Reading or Study Skills class?
You can call our office, (940) 369-7006, and sign up for a class that fits in your schedule. All classes meet
in the Learning Center (Union Suite 323), and payment is due at time of registration.

What do I need to know if I am interested in becoming an SI or ST?
The Learning Center hires the "best of the best" to work as SI or ST leaders. If you have a minimum 3.00
GPA, public speaking experience, and are interested in helping fellow students master difficult concepts,
then please drop by the office and pick up an application. We accept applications year-round, and
interview at the end of each major semester. We will need a copy of your transcript when you return your
                 application.

How do I get the password for Smarthinking.com?
Our online tutoring service through Smarthinking.com is available 24 hours a day, but you will need a
password for your initial log-in and account set-up. Simply come by the Learning Center and one of us will
                 be happy to assist you.
