Welcome to UNT's College of Business Administration

Greetings from the Dean,

The face of business education is changing rapidly and I believe that the UNT College of Business Administration is poised to do great things in the future.

For years UNT has been one of the “best kept secrets in north Texas.” It is my goal to change this perception and educate the community on the truth: that the UNT College of Business Administration is the best business education value in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

We have over 5,000 students from around the globe. These diverse and talented students continue to win national competitions and are among the best student leaders on campus. They participate in national and international exchange activities and are employed in positions of leadership in local, national and international organizations.

Our faculty members are star performers whose research and teaching improve the quality and boost the reputation of the college. They continue to publish in the best journals in their fields, and are asked to participate in professional activities from Mexico to London to China. Such outstanding teaching performance has garnered university, state and national recognition. The work of this elite group of educators impacts the practice of business, industry and government in this region and around the world on a daily basis.

As business in Texas and the U.S. evolves, we strive to improve our educational programs to keep pace with industry. We have cutting edge offerings in radio frequency identification (RFID), residential property management, new product development, and entrepreneurship. These innovations are in addition to our ongoing interdisciplinary efforts and programs underway with the UNT Health Science Center, the UNT College of Engineering, and the UNT School of Merchandising and Hospitality Management. Joint programs and faculty and student exchange relationships are also being discussed with universities in Saudi Arabia, Mexico and China. This emphasis on innovative and interdisciplinary education is crucial, because tomorrow’s business graduates must understand the collaborative nature of today’s business environment.

I am excited about the future of the College of Business at UNT and look forward to still greater achievements. Now is the time for you to see what the UNT College of Business Administration can do for you.

Sincerely,
Kathleen B. Cooper, Ph.D.
Dean
