The School of Visual Arts at UNT offers the BA, BFA, M.A., MFA and Ph.D. degrees in thirteen programs in art history, art education, design and studio arts. With more than 2,100 students enrolled and over 100 faculty and staff, the School of Visual Arts is one of the nation's largest and most comprehensive visual arts programs. We are a community of nationally and internationally recognized scholars, artists, designers, and educators. SOVA is taking great advantage of its location at the apex of the Dallas Ft. Worth metroplex. With our new Fashion on Main gallery in Dallas, and the School's UNTartspaceFW in Fort Worth, we are linked with two vibrant cultural and economic centers while maintaining the residential base of our main campus in the North Texas educational community of Denton. Along with all of our academic programs and the SOVA Galleries in the Art Building and Oak Street Hall, the School of Visual Arts is also home to PRINT, the Print Research Institute of North Texas, NTIEVA, the North Texas Institute for Educators in the Visual Arts, and the Texas Fashion Collection. I hope you will visit their sites often as well.
Here in the School of Visual Arts at the University of North Texas we know that the ultimate value of the time you spend in school includes what you expect to learn and do here, what you actually learn and do, and what other people believe you learned and are capable of doing when you get out.
