GRADES EC-4 or 4-8 GENERALISTS STUDENTS:
WANT TO EXPAND YOUR EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES?
  
You can, by adding an ESL or Bilingual Education Certificate to your EC-4 or 4-8 generalist certificate program.  

This may not require additional hours to your bachelor of science degree/generalist certification plan.  Monetary incentives are offered by many school districts above the basic salary for teachers hired to teach English Language Learners.
 

  • Bilingual proficiency required for students in the bilingual education certification track only
  • Classes offered at UNT campuses in both Dallas and Denton
  • Post-baccalaureate 24 hour alternative certification program also available for students seeking EC-4 Generalist initial certification
  • Limited number of scholarships available for eligible students
  • Enroll in day or evening classes
