    Efstathios E. (Stathis) Michaelides, Professor and Program Coordinator

    Ph. D. Brown, 1980.

    Research Interests:  Energy conversion and conservation, multiphase and particulate flow, heat transfer, environmental fluid dynamics, turbulence,

    Dr. Michaelides was previously a professor at the University of Delaware and Tulane University and the Director of the Southcentral Regional Center of the National Institute for Global Environmental Change (NIGEC). 

    Sandra Boetcher, Assistant Professor.

    Ph. D., U. Minnesota, 2006.

    Research Interests: Heat Transfer, buoyant flow, fluid distribution manifolds, biological flow and heat transfer, thermal characteristics of electronic equipment.

    Dr. Boetcher was previously an instructor at the University of Minnesota and a consultant with several engineering companies in Minneapolis, MN.

    Tae-Youl Choi, Assistant Professor.

    Ph. D., U.C. Berkeley, 2002.

    Research Interests:  Micro/nano science and technology, femtosecond laser machining, plasma dynamics, nano-scale fabrication, nano-tube properties.

    Dr. Choi was previously an Assistant Researcher at the Turbomachinery Center in Seul, Korea, a Visiting Post-Doctoral Researcher at U.C. Berkeley and a Lecturer at the ETH in Zurich, Switzerland.

    Zhi-Gang Feng, Assistant Professor.

    Ph. D., Tulane University, 1997. 

    Research Interests: Multiphase flow and heat transfer, sedimentation, turbulence, computational fluid dynamics.

    Dr. Feng was previously a lecturer at the Tonji University , an Engineer and Research Scientist at the Institute of Paper Science and Technology a Visiting Assistant Professor at Tulane University and an Assistant Professor at Xavier University of Louisiana.
