The President's Council is the university’s premiere giving club made up of over 1,000 alumni, faculty and friends of the university. Members make an annual contribution which is donated to scholarships in their names or in the names of favorite professors or friends. The contribution may also be made to an unrestricted fund for innovative educators and programs. Members of the President's Council help meet the highest private funding priority of the university—the vital need to encourage the best and the brightest students to attend UNT. Through the generosity of its membership, opportunities are provided for students and faculty that otherwise may not be possible. Membership enjoys many benefits including UNT library and parking privileges, recognition in university publications, invitations to campus and metroplex events and the opportunity to network with fellow members, students and faculty. However, the most important benefit is the opportunity to directly impact UNT students by providing scholarship assistance so they may reach their academic goals.
