Help

This page helps you use the CAPR Digital Repository features and provides information about the structure and content of the Repository. See specific topics covered in this help page.

METADATA

Each document in the Repository is described by a metadata record. The record provides important information about an object. Browsing and searching the Repository rely on the information contained in the metadata record. More importantly, the results from a browse or a search present information about the document from the metadata record.

COLLECTIONS

The CAPR Repository contains several collections of documents grouped by agencies. Main collections are represented by icons and links on the Repository’s home page. More collections are available through the All Collection link located under the main collections icons.

BROWSING THROUGH THE REPOSITORY

The repository offers a way to browse through the list of documents in each collection. List includes document's Title, Author and Organization.

SEARCHING THE REPOSITORY

You can search the Repository in a variety of ways. Just like any good search engine, there is a search box on the Repository’s home page. You can type in any word you wish here, and the system will search the entire repository.

To limit your search to a specific collection, go to the Advanced search and use the search boxes that allow you to refine your search.
