The Forgotten International
Our Mission is to develop programs that will alleviate poverty and the suffering associated with poverty both in the United States and worldwide, in particular, that experienced by women and children.
The Forgotten International works to bring together people in the world who have great resources with people who have great needs. We provide those with means a way to contribute globally and encourage compassion. As a result, those in need are given the gift of hope, while those who help are given the gift of knowing that the world has been made better through their kindness and compassion.
Four Program Areas
TFI operates entirely on donations and focuses its limited resources within four main areas in doing the work of poverty alleviation:Small Grants: TFI makes targeted grants to trusted community organizations, village schools, charitable medical clinics and orphanages that make the most of all their resources.
Service: Through our Fellowship Program, TFI sends skilled volunteers to live and work abroad for several weeks with the grassroots organizations we support to directly serve the disadvantaged in the local community.
Goods and Supplies: In collaboration with our Partners, TFI sends needed goods and supplies to women, children and families in need of the bare essentials around the world.
Awareness: TFI seeks to raise awareness of the problem of global poverty through community presentations, videos of our programs and our upcoming book and documentary, Living on a Dollar a Day.
"Living on a Dollar a Day" the Documentary narrated by actor and activist Mr. Pierce Brosnan
TFI wishes to produce a documentary film presently called Living on a Dollar a Day to tell the stories of people around the world who survive on roughly $1 each day. We think this film will motivate more fortunate people, such as ourselves, to reach out to those whose basic needs are not being met. We think the investment we make in this documentary will inspire many times that amount in donations to the poor. In this spirit, we ask for your support of this project of compassion. Please give what you can, thank you!
